I really enjoy your blog, Alta. I’m not skilled enough to have anything to offer by way of a Holiday dish. A comment, though. No offense, but kwanzaa is not a holiday. It’s a made-up thing with a political purpose only.

Bryant – Thank you for the compliment. The spirit of this Holiday Food Fest was to be inclusive of all holiday celebrations, regardless of whether they hold a religious, spiritual, political meaning to those celebrating – or even if the holiday simply represents a special time for people to enjoy their friends and family. We’re not in a place to judge; as far as I’m concerned, I’m just happy to find reasons to celebrate and share joy with friends.
